The Atabal has a habit of booking artists before they fill the bigger halls. That is the whole principle of a publicly supported contemporary music venue, and it is also what makes these nights interesting: the relationship with the stage is direct, with no distance and no apparatus.

What the venue is worth

Seven hundred standing places, acoustics designed for amplified music, and a building that also houses three rehearsal studios and a recording studio. The Atabal is not only a concert hall: it is the working tool of a good share of the region’s bands.

The full running order, support act included, is usually confirmed in the weeks beforehand. Check the Atabal box office before setting out, and allow for the journey to La Négresse.
