Ici Biarritz does not publish a directory. We publish a selection of addresses we genuinely believe in.
Our criteria
Local roots: Establishments run by people who know the Basque Country, who source locally, who are part of the neighbourhood’s social fabric.
Authenticity: An address that could not exist anywhere other than the Basque Country.
Consistency: What is advertised matches what you actually experience. No smoke and mirrors.
Longevity: We favour establishments that have stood the test of time and are likely to still be here in 5 years.
What we don’t select
Chains and franchises, however decent they may be. Establishments that exist primarily for tourists without local roots. Places that have lost their soul trying to please everyone.
