Summerland — Benjamin Millepied and November Ultra open Le Temps d’Aimer
Culture · Dance · Gare du Midi
The creation that opens Le Temps d’Aimer, across two evenings only. Millepied and November Ultra on the same stage, five minutes’ walk from the town centre: precisely the date other places envy us.
Benjamin Millepied needs no introduction, and neither does November Ultra. Seeing them paired on a single creation, in Biarritz, in a 1,400-seat hall, is the kind of planetary alignment local programming does not produce every year.
Two evenings, and that is all
That is the festival’s constraint, and it works against you: Summerland opens Le Temps d’Aimer on 10 and 11 September, and nothing suggests the piece will pass this way again. Opening creations are traditionally the first to sell out.
The local tip
Book as soon as the box office opens, without waiting for the printed programme. And if both dates are full, watch for late releases: on this kind of evening, seats always come back on sale in the final week.
The real argument for September being better than August.
